Over the last few months I have been completely unable to track certain SAM sites such as the SA6 with the AGM-45 on some multiplayer servers. While the shrike gives tone and fires completely normally, the control surfaces do not move and the shrike doesn't even try to track the target. I have tested all seeker heads, In direct and loft modes and with all SAM sites in DCS. Even after removing all scripts and mods from the server the same thing still occurred. I have attached 4 track files of each test and the MIZ file which was used. For the SA11 the mk49 mod 1 seeker head was used and no track was obtained. For the SA6 the mk36 seeker head was used and no track had been obtained (the mk49 has also been tested previously and no track was obtained). And finally for the SA2 the mk 50,22,25 and 37 were used and all missiles tracked fine. However these results seem to be inconsistent across servers as I also tested the SA6 with the mk36 on another server and it tracked fine. Anyone noticed anything different with HARM behavior within the last couple updates? I'm seeing a lot more misses lately, and it seems like unless there are actively missiles in the air, the HARM won't track the emitter and it definitely wasn't like that before. This behavior persists regardless whether the weapon is employed via HTS pod, HAS display or PB to a steerpoint. I've tried it on SA2s, 11s, 15s and 10s (maybe a couple others) and it's the same for all of them. Missile is defeated, HARM sails over the target. HARM evasion is not switched on. These are as 'dumb' as SAM sites can get. In the past, you could stay well outside of range and lob HARMs at them and get consistent hits, now I'm seeing hit rates of 50% at best. I've been flying the Viper and making missions for 2.5 years and things definitely seem different within the last couple weeks. My squadron-mates are all seeing the same thing, in both the Hornet and the Viper. Anyone else notice this? I'm not necessarily complaining either. This change makes Weaseling a really fun challenge, but if it was a change I didn't see it in any of the patch notes, unless I just missed it, which is absolutely a possibility.

Hi everyone, and happy 2025! I was scripting a mission, trying to get a SEAD group of F/A-18C controlled by the AI to suppress a SAM SA-10 site, using both ADM-141A decoys and AGM-88C HARM missiles, while I was occupied bombing some vehicles out there (yeah, the easy part for me...) When trying different weapon loadouts in the AI SEAD group, I think I found something wrong: if the weapon loadout is mixed (and with that I mean the loadout includes both decoys and HARMS in the same aircraft, regardless of any other weapon) decoys do not behave as expected or the group does not attack the target at all. I have prepared a set of examples (see attached file). Sit down in the spanish F/A-18 and watch the canadian colleagues do the hard job in the following scenarios: Mission 1: Pure decoy loadout / Waypoint orders: attack only with decoys. This works fine: the guys launch the decoys in the target direction. Mission 2: Mixed loadout (HARMs & decoys) / Waypoint orders: attack only with decoys. This does not work: the F/A-18s do not perform any attack at all, and continue with the flight plan to the next waypoint. Mission 3: Mixed loadout (HARMs & decoys) / Waypoint orders: attack with auto weapon choice. The F/A-18s attack the target, but they launch both decoys and HARMs at the same time (therefore the decoys arrive terribly late to the show). Mission 4: Mixed loadout (HARMs & decoys) / Waypoint orders: attack only with HARMs. This works fine, only HARMs are launched. Mission 5: Pure HARM loadout / Waypoint orders: attack only with HARMs. This works fine, although some planes release all their missiles while others keep a couple onboard (I guess this must be right depending on the target). Mission 6: Pure HARM loadout / Waypoint orders: auto weapon choice. This works fine, although some planes release all their missiles while others keep a couple onboard (I guess this must be right depending on the target). From my humble point of view, the right behaviour should be: When having a mixed loadout, and when instructed to launch decoys, the AI should launch the decoys at the target instead of doing nothing. When having a mixed loadout, and when not specifying the weapon of choice (AUTO) the AI should launch the decoys at the target first, and then launch the HARM missiles later, so they could arrive more or less at the same time at the target (maybe some expert can provide more options here, but it is clear that launching everything at the same time is a nice way to waste the decoys). Hope you can try it as well and shed some light. It will be wonderful to be proven wrong, but I think this is a classic bug Thanks in advance! Decoy_tests.zip

untilSuccessful attacks on Soviet logistics including the port of Latakia and the train depot at Raqqa have hampered their advance. At long last they have organized their forces to launch an attack against Palmyra and its oil fields, the main target of their forces. Soviet troops are attacking over the mountains north of Palmyra, but the main thrust of their attack is a large tank force from the East from Deir ez-Zur. They have heavily shelled from the mountains to the North of Palmyra damaging much of the city including the ancient Roman monuments. Unlike in Deir-ez Zur, Syrian troops have been mobilized in large numbers and are prepared to defend against the attack. However, the Soviets have learned from their mistakes and this time have brought SA-6's along with the SA-8/13/15s and Shilkas. They have also timed their attack to coincide with remnant cloud layer from the storm several days prior that will force allied aircraft into the threat rings of those SAM systems. USAF crews have been flown into nearby Tiyas AFB and are capable of rearming and refueling aircraft. 555 Objectives CAS of advancing Soviet armor from the East. You will need to use LGBs or Mavs to stop them. 224 Objectives Primary: SEAD of SA-6 and to remain on station looking for mobile SA-8/13/15s Secondary: CAS of troops advancing from north. 492 Objectives Primary: Established air supremacy over Palmyra (CAP) Secondary. Find and Bomb artillery positions. Note: It would be useful to have a JTAC or someone coordinating ground strikes in this mission. A10s or Apaches could also do this.

The 76th DSOW will be conducting SEAD and DEAD mission on syria. we currently have openings for pilots to join our squadron and fly missions with us. We are casual flying pilots with little milsim implementation. If intrested direct message me or find the 76th DSOW on social media and discord. download.jfif

Hi I would like to see a change in the SEAD actions for AI aircraft in mission. At this time when the AI are on a SEAD task they attack all radar and SAM systems that they detect. Is it possible for the AI just to attack a specific SAM system and return home without coving the whole map searching for targets.

Hi all, first post here on the DCS forums but have been at DCS for a while with the Hornet, Harrier and Viper, I'd like to share one of my creations! Should bring some nostalgia to some of you!

This morning I was doing some SEAD training with hornet. I was sure that I followed all correct procedure but still failed to lock (handoff) a radar emitter in TOO mode. After tried many times, I decided to record a track to expose this "bug", so I started over and trying to show that I couldn't lock the SAM radar even though I have pressed cage/uncage button for several times. In the end, I suddenly realized that I forgot to set the HARM display DDI as the SOI, and I successfully destroyed the last SAM site with TOO mode. Anyway as I had saved the track, I would like to attached it here to expose my "stupidity". Yet, I have another question I found during the mission. As I select PB mode and entered the radar code, designated the target location, on the top left corner of display, the "HARM" word is boxed (and not crossed out) and shows "RDY" below. Then if I change to TOO mode, the HARM is still boxed along with the "RDY" even though the seeker hasn't locked any radar emitter yet, shouldn't the "HARM" word being crossed out if no radar emitter locked in TOO mode? Or the HARM will always be ready if we have set up the PB mode data? FA18C SEAD Mission.trk

Currently trying to work back through M13, but i keep getting shot down by 2 SA6's (both active), but according to the Brief, theres meant to be SEAD. This is after getting the first 2 mig and the high heat, so plenty of time to launch their harms, Is this a Bug? (no mods, except the A4, and a couple asset packs that shouldn't effect this)

Hi guys, Recently I was retraining the hornet HARM, under TOO mode, when my own aircraft is locked by a radar, the HARM mode was automatically switched to SP mode, I tried to push button beside TOO, but it jumps to SP mode very quickly. Just wonder if this is normal or a bug? As I don't think it used to work before. If this is normal, what if I don't want to attack another radar emitter other than the one that locked me. Thanks.
