  1. I know this is an old post but if anyone else looks this up and comes across this post, I was experiencing the same issue as the OP and this might help you out. I tried changing the QNH as suggested above but unfortunately that didn't do anything. However, I then noticed the mission the random mission generator created for me had a date of 1950 (see top right of the screenshot in the quote above for location of date). When I changed the year to 2010, the issue rectified itself.
  2. Liberation and now Retribution have given me so many more hours enjoyment in DCS. Thanks! One question - I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but I can't find it. On the map when I'm mission planning (not the F10 map but the actual Retribution app map), how can I hide all the units that are listed as [DEAD]? Or is that even possible?
  3. It's such an annoying bug, absolutely destroys my FPS in VR. I've found that if I quickly Alt-TAB out and then back again it seems to help.
  4. Thank you very much @Zabuzard, I and I’m sure many others appreciate the response. Very much looking forward to this module!
  5. @Wags Perhaps you can include an update on this in your next Q&A? In the last Q&A you talked about more transparency going forward - see post above, the Afghanistan map feels like a good place to start.
  6. I mean, whatever mate. I asked a question based on what was written, plain and simple.
  7. I’m guessing that a lot of the target audience don’t yet play DCS, let alone have an account on this forum. I’m sure the F-35 is designed to draw a raft of new users to the sim.
  8. I couldn't have put it better myself! Well, as @zerO_crash has already pointed out, the FAQ states that the sentence in question puts F-35 first and Eurofighter later. "While....the F-35A will initially be the 800-pound gorilla in the room, it's advantages can be offset by .... the later introduction of more comparable aircraft like the Eurofighter..." The 800-pound gorilla comment is the anchor reference with respect to time. It suggests that when the F-35A arrives onto the DCS scene, there will be no comparator. Eurofighter to come later. You can argue all you like but that's the way it's written. Hence my question in the original post.
  9. In the section titled "When will it be available?"
  10. When can we expect some news on this?
  11. The F35 FAQ suggests that ED is targeting release of the F35 module in 2026. The FAQ also says "later introduction of .... Eurofighter and others". Should we expect a release window of 2026+?
  12. Copy that, I hadn't seen that mentioned previously. That's reassuring
  13. My main draw to DCS is that it tries, to the extent that it can, to be a study level simulator and this announcement does seem incongruous with that especially given some of the responses by the CMs over the years to various requests to changes to aircraft (e.g. munition types). Having said that, I think the F35 will be a fun module to fly, and I'll definitely buy it. My question is - I understand flight dynamics information is hard to get. What about avionics i.e. the large area display, the 'portals' that the pilot operates, the menu systems. Is there available documentation for that or is it a case of stringing together information found on YouTube videos and the like? Ancillary question - does this open the door to future 'leniency' on modules; for example, given the MiG-29 has been in recent times been using HARM and JDAM-ER can those munitions be added to the Fulcrum? Would present a whole range of additional, fun, mission types to that upcoming module.
