  1. The file file: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F14\bin\F14-HeatblurCommon.dll has been quanrantined by windows defender today detected:Trojan:Win32/Etset!rfn WTF ? Started DCS and got a message like F14 will be unvailable soon because doesn't comply with .... what shall I do ?
  2. I played mission 5 3 times. 1. Succeed. Got the feeling I was lucky. It was to messy I didn't really understand what all happened. I wanted to play it again. 2. AGM65 misalignement ! When target locked on TGP, AGM65 looked totally elsewhere. I did an alignement procedure on ground, but something must have gone wrong. Got shot while panicking in the heat of action. 3. Passing IP. Pushed WP9. WP9 75 nm to go somewhere west. Not spotted on HSD. Pushed CZ. Nothing changed. Other WPs correct. Abort mission.
  3. Dave is right. Same for me. 100% sure I use correct frequency. I don't care since I use unlimited fuel.
  4. Yeah I stuggled with these 8 digits coordinates. Very silly to give 8 digits when it's either 6 or 10, especially when the last zeroes are missing. Plus the system accepts these coordinates. Except the first point is about 40 miles south west in Finland from WP6. The ergonomics of those late 20th century fighters numeric systems always amaze me.
  5. It was my turn, and I was gently approaching to the contact. Anyway, I replayed the mission, Roach kept quiet and everything went fine.
  6. I was refueling. While approaching the boom, a schock, lost control of the aircraft. Had to eject. On the debrief, learned that I collided with my wingman. What option can avoid this? Crash recovery? I wouldn't want to use invulnerability.

I installed last DCS version : - unlimited fuel option is functioning - I could use standard DCS comms with tanker to get contact clearance (and than use F10 option to avoid a full refuel procedure) - for the attack with my wingman, my misunderstanding. I thought north group was the flankers and the south group the SU25. We engaged the south group flankers and then the SU25. wingman killed a flankers and a frog foot. So everything is now OK. Got to get proficient in AAR, I know.
  8. Replayed mission 3 : 1. Roach (my wingman) fired and killed the 2 SU-27 (north group),which was not the plan ! That's what DCS debrief says. I had to kill the 4 SU-25. 2. I use UHF channel 5 287.3 MHz 100% sure. It went a little different (further). This time I had a message 'presse SPACE when visual contact with Texaco'. I did, heard myself calling Texaco to request refuel. Texaco lit his lights and deployed the boom. I was told to use DCS comms. It still didn't work out.
  9. Hi. Love the campaign, Immersion, mission 1 and 2 are a great experience. 3 problems in mission 3 : 1. Why does my wingman not engage when we are tasked to commit with the southern group (4 SU-25) ? Do I have to use usual comms to ask him to engage ? 2. Can't ask Texaco 5.1 to refuel with usual DCS comm. I do use UHF-5 Amber 1. In response, all I get is a short noise. 3. Unlimited fuel option doesn't function. Getting 5,000 pounds of fuel will be challenging for me. Chainsaw will have to be very patient.
  10. Thanks for your advice. With some training and tweaks (percents of confidence and rejection), pause between words (like "three" ... "engage") I now manage a rather good use of VoicAttack.
  11. Thanks for your advice. Game commander was a software (win 95 ?), similar to VoiceAttack : voice recognition, and you associated a sequence of key strokes to a phrase. Worked very good, even for non native English. I tried VoiceAttack with Viacompro : I managed to say "request refuel" "ready pre-contact" and be understood, and the command was issued to DCS. Worked fine. "Abort rejoin" didn't work out at all. Then I tried an other mission. Tried to say "request picture", "engage my target", "flight engage bandits", ... but nothing happened. Heard some beeps, hi tone, low tone, I suppose that meant understood / not understood. I tried "Sukhumi request take off", VoiceAttack understood "Subcomittee, request a cough" My english pronunciation is still better than the french pilots of the red flag M2000 campaign one. I also use the Pimax VR headset microphone, and Windows says the volume is low.
  12. Yes I have. I gave a try. But I'm French. I had a french windows. Had to install and English windows. I have a french version of DCS (well, texts in french, audio in english, obviously). I'm almost fluent in english but VoiceAttack seems to have difficulties to understand me. 20 years ago, I used a very good software named 'Game commander' with Falcon 4.0 and had no problem with my english. When I have some time to invest, I'll try harder VoiceAttack.
  13. I followed the procedure. You ask for pre-contact, and get clearance for pre-contact. The tanker tells you then contact when the boom is in, then tells 'you're taking fuel'. Same as with the Hornet and the basket. I managed to take fuel, a few seconds. I experienced something else strange too in an attempt. I was told 'return pre-contact'. But the option 'request pre-contact' was not in the radio menu. So I had to ask 'cancel refuel' and than ask again for refuel.
  14. I was trying F-16C refueling instant action, and I was twice in right position, and no boom contact, no fuel. I paused and watched F2 view, the boom was just in front of the door. - Door was opened. RDY light on. - Got pre-contact clearance BUT when I pushed radio button, I saw that the menu proposed "request pre-contact". I never got the message "return pre-contact'. VERY FRUSTATING.
  15. Since I've had plenty of CTD and freezes for last weeks (since last patches), I wanted to try Discord dcs log analyser. I'm not a discord user. The link seems to go nowhere, that's what discord says. Is it stil available ? BTW, what happens to the logs I send in DCS when it crashes?
  16. agree Same for me. Mission Cargo from Cage the Bear Hornet Mission. Old campaign, I think. Tried other missions (other campaigns, no campaign, other aircraft), didn't experience the bug.
  17. Downloaded today's last patch. Fixed fuse bug on hornet as mentioned in log. But rebirthed a very old bug that had dissapeared. The wingman repeats endlessly the same contact report. And while doing so, does'nt listen to any order. Very annoying.
  18. What a shame ! I really wish ED and rkApps come to an agreement. I just bought expensive hardware, Haptics Buttkicker, and then I tested and then bought rkApps SImhaptic, because it's much better then the original Buttkicker software. I also tested and wanted to buy DCrealistic just today, which I can't now. VR + Buttkicker + SimHaptic + DCRealistic is the best experience of immersion I ever got. I understand that rkApps earns money thanks to existence of ED. And ED earns money thanks to the existence of Intel, AMD, Nvidia .... etc, ... ED should really have a good policy to encourage third parties to improve DCS world environment. And by the way, it might be off topic (or not), I went into DCS because of the Mirage 2000 (I'm french). You see what I mean. I also bought the mudhen/
  19. SOLVED : windows has now been update, nvidia drivers updated, DCS uptaded ... Ans oh surprise, the problem dissapeared.

The file name is actually : "F-16C - Persian Gulf - Turn Off the Lights.miz" The path on my PC is : "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Missions\Single" And yes, we found a way to correct th problem. Which reminds of the british TV show "The IT crowd" and it's famous quote : "Have you tried to turn it off and on again ?"
  21. The mission is "Turn off the light" which is provided when you have the F-16C module and the persian gulf map. I tried mdmasters trick and it works : "I toggle the GPS time field to "off", then suddenly the data link starts working, the sync field says "syncing" (or something like that) for a moment, and then it changes to a status of "fine". I can then turn the GPS time field back to "on" and the data link seems to work."
  22. It's not really a bug. I changed my PC monitor. Same resolution (4K). I used to shut down (power off) the monitor when flying in VR, for 2 purposes : 1. Less problem of "picture drifting" in VR 2. Reduce electricity consumption No problem with my old monitor. With the new one, if I shut it down, the mouse cursor field gets limited to a small rectangle part of the field of view in the upper left corner. When I power the monitor on, everything is back to normal.
  23. I think everything is in the title. Very simple : Team members are the AWACS and wingman. Nothing on HSD.
